Sumptuous Retail ? Why not !

Last week my husband and I were walking around Oxford St. and Regent St. doing some shopping and we got into the H&M store at Oxford Circus.   I was impressed with the store!

The design made me feel like if I was in a chic boutique, a huge one!  Especially with that fitting rooms with a chill out area with plush seats where my hubby can seat and relax while I try on some clothes! Perfect! Don’t you think? I almost forgot I was in a retail store!!

Because let’s be honest, and this is only my opinion.  I understand the concern to provide a great customer service; but as a customer there is nothing more uncomfortable that a store personnel following you around the store and asking you if you need something.  I might be wrong but that’s how I feel.  Instead of that we can create a wonderful and sumptuous environment for our customers and spoil them without the need to say anything.  From their very first step into the store they feel that they are in a unique place.  And H&M had proved that you can do it and keep your prices low.

Accesorices in luxurious tea trolley! Like the afternoon tea at the Hotel but instead of tea, Champaign and Scones you have bracelets, necklaces, shoes and handbags.

Every customer that sees a great retail design knows that all that work is for them to feel good and spend time and of course money in the store.  And by the same rule when they see a boring retail store, with uncomfortable fitting room, no space to walk around because everything is so full of racks to maximize the space; there’s a feeling that the store cares more about the sales, rather that the shopping experience.

If I had to design a retail store I will make a list of rules like this one:

CitizenM Hotel

I've been trying to look some nice Hotels from a Design perspective. Although I appreciated the luxurious design of most of the Hotels in London I love when I see something fresh like this.

Concrete Architectural Associates created a jung and colourful Hotel. With a unique taste to mix Furniture and material. All I can say is that I felt in love! This is my cup of tea!!! :)

Will you dare...?

I get so bored every time I see kid's room decorated in blue or pink.  I ask my self what's wrong? There are not enough colours in the world that everybody ends up doing the same?
And then I get so happy when I see rooms like this!!  I love it!
Will you dare to use these colours in your daughter's room? I Know I could!!! and OMG with the swing of course!

I hate ugly boxes...

So since I was little I don't know why but I loved to organize everything, my closet, my room and I always look for webs with new ideas. Today I founded one "chez larsson". God! This girl knows how to organize! I love it!
One of the projects I like is this first kid box.

Definitely I am going to do it so I can put away those ugly bandage boxes and have everything together in one beautiful box.Have a nice day!! :)

Watchstrap + boring drawer

So like a couple years ago my Hubby and I went to Paris, It was my first time there and I have to say that I loved it!! I wanted to see some street markets, they are just wonderful so we went to this one (sorry I don’t remember the name but they were specialise in furniture) I bought 5 pairs of letter watchstrap to used them as a drawer handle.  Time went by until I remembered the other day and uses them with this set of drawers from IKEA.  It was perfect!!

I needed a table as well for the studio so I also bought this closet door for 15 GPS and there it is!!  A fabulous place to work with a great light, isn’t?
